About us

Frustrated was how busy mother of two, Angela Hyde felt when it came to buying well designed, quality children’s clothes locally.
"Taking an active five and three-year-old into Hobart shopping for clothing was exhausting and difficult for me and the kids. Apart from the discount department stores, there was nothing much in the Kingborough area catering for children over the age of two.”
Angela soon realised she was not on her own. Talking to other mothers, who felt the same as she did when it came to dressing their children, planted the seed for her new business, Lauren + Sam.
Named after her two children, who also double as poster models, Lauren + Sam opened in October 2009 in Kingston, and moved to Hobart CBD toward the end of 2016.
The shop now boasts a long list of regular customers along with praise from mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts and uncles who find shopping at Lauren + Sam an easy, no fuss, one-stop shop for those essential and non-essential items and for Birthday and Christmas gifts.
Lauren + Sam caters for the demographics of the area and stocks a wide range of designer clothing and accessories at prices to suit most budgets.
Angela Hyde comes from a background in Sales but most importantly being a mother trying to find quality clothing, shoes and accessories for her two children.
Lauren + Sam’s aim is to provide quality clothing and shoes for children that is age appropriate and offers value for money.
Everyone is welcome at Lauren + Sam and our focus is to provide exceptional customer service, whilst shopping in a relaxing atmosphere. Children are more than welcome at Lauren + Sam, the train table and toy play area being a hit with our younger clientele. If Mum, Nan or Dad say it’s OK they can also have a lollypop.
Nothing is too much trouble, if there is something you like or need we will always try and get it for you.
We hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy offering them to you. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Angela Hyde and Staff
